Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field of study, or equivalent technical experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of data engineering-related experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing data warehouse architectures, preferably in a lead or architect capacity.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines across operating systems, network share protocols, web APIs, and databases, including data-processing automation.
  • Advanced knowledge of database concepts, query languages such as SQL, data transformation techniques, data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and related best practices.
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and business partners.
  • Ability to read and understand various data structures.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and implement foundational data models, data lakes, ETL pipelines, and curated layers serving multiple reporting platforms.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for high performance and cost-effectiveness in large-scale data environments.
  • Develop and manage data engineering architecture and design and implement lakehouse and analytics solutions.
  • Develop and coordinate cloud architecture across application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and security.
  • Implement data management practices including cleansing, deduplication, validation, and governance to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines across multiple data sources and destinations.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Build and maintain data models and warehouse schemas supporting analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Optimize query performance and database operations.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance across all systems.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and help drive data engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics colleagues to foster teamwork and innovation.
  • Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to team standards and practices.
  • Monitor data pipelines and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Partner with DevOps and platform teams to manage infrastructure and deploy data tools.
  • Perform assigned duties in compliance with internal standard operating procedures and external regulations, and bring compliance issues to management's attention.
  • Provide quality customer service to all customers.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality according to the absence policy.
  • Perform other duties assigned at management's discretion.

  • Knowledge of the Azure cloud platform, Fabric data platform, Azure Data Factory, and DevOps.
  • Professional database certification.
