As the new SEO Content Manager joining our Global SEO team you’ll be responsible for driving growth across our different markets and verticals. You’ll work closely with our Senior SEO Content Manager, regional and vertical SEO leads, as well as cross-functionally with PR, Content Marketing and Social teams.
This role is an amazing opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a strategic mindset, to contribute to our upper funnel content and link acquisition strategies and make a visible impact as we develop and evolve our overall SEO strategy to attract and engage with millions of travellers each month.
Responsibilities:
- Inform the longtail content strategy based on SEO research, performance, trends and insights, feeding into the strategic direction of content campaigns for the business.
- Plan and implement link building campaigns in collaboration with internal teams such as PR and Content Marketing teams, as well as third-party agencies.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure the Skyscanner site is setup to meet the optimal criteria of search engine algorithms while improving accessibility, visibility, rank, relevancy, and user experience.
- Monitor and analyse website performance and SEO metrics to measure the effectiveness of content efforts and link building campaigns.
- Work with other SEO managers to perform keyword research in order to accelerate organic search growth at a global and local level.
- Become a subject matter expert for the company on the latest SEO developments and trends.
- Support the embedding of SEO best practices across multi-channel activities and campaigns.
- Liaise with agencies to ensure KPIs are met and budgets are used effectively.
About You:
- Solid SEO knowledge, with a strong content and link acquisition background. Having a good understanding of technical SEO is also beneficial.
- Proven SEO experience, preferably for a large global consumer brand with thousands of landing pages across multiple country-specific websites.
- Well-versed in creating SEO content roadmaps, capturing short and long tail demand as well as experience in creating link-worthy content.
- A firm understanding of the principles of effective PR.
- Experience with website audits, competitor analysis and developing and implementing a content strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- Exposure to advanced SEO tools.
- Strong collaboration and project management skills, and eager to work cross-functionally and evangelise channel best practices.
- Multilingual skills are a nice to have.
