  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant business development experience
  • Extensive experience in renewable energy and/or complex projects involving substantial investment & construction
  • Direct experience working with public entities (counties, cities & regional authorities)
Responsibilities
  • Identify, research and originate RNG development opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential counterparties and industry partners
  • Prepare and give presentations to prospective clients, internal executives, and shareholders
  • Build, maintain and track qualified opportunities through sales pipeline
  • Track and respond to requests for proposal for RNG project development
  • Manage internal team activities in pursuit of each opportunity
  • Lead negotiation of gas rights and other long-term commercial agreements
  • Participate in technical advancement and preliminary engineering of potential solutions
  • Work with project development team to develop detailed budgets and timelines for each opportunity
  • Participate with leadership team to raise equity and debt for new projects & investments
  • Travel up to 25-50% of time to opportunity locations across North America
  • Assess and comment on current RNG market conditions affecting business development
