8x8 Inc. is looking for a Senior Salesforce Release Engineer who will be part of the Business Applications team. As a senior salesforce release engineer, you will be responsible for the regular Salesforce deployments, managing CI/CD pipeline via Jenkins / Github across multiple sandbox environments. 8x8 is on the path of a digital transformation and there’s a need to manage multiple CPQ instances and parallel deployment pipelines.
Responsibilities:
·Manage multiple Salesforce environments and was responsible for environmental strategy and release coordination activities. Provide leadership and take responsibility to manage and coordinate the deployment process.
·Continuously evaluate the DevOps strategy, processes, and tools and bring in best practices.
·Collaborate, coordinate and communicate with Project Managers, Product Owners / Business Analysts, and various development team members to manage the release schedules according to organizational needs and ensure appropriate resources are available, and communicate deployment status as necessary.
·Maintain and publish the Salesforce Release Calendar
·Work closely with scrum team members for merge requests, resolve code conflicts and handle the build validation and deployments. As an SME of your tools and processes, you must act as a leader to train other team members if they are facing any deployment issues of their projects/changes.
·Proficient in refreshing the sandboxes from the production environment. Communicate and own this refreshing activity.
·Manage the sandbox environments and access.
·Build a strategy to automate metadata deployments.
·Manage access to tools such as Github, Clayton, Ownbackup, and other DevOps tools.
Required Skills:
·Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
·Strong Salesforce platform knowledge and at least 5 years of experience managing on Salesforce deployments and integrations.
·Excellent understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of DevOps tools (i.e. Gear set, Copado, AutoRabbit, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Automated deployment, JIRA, GitHub, etc.) with CICD capabilities and Agile practices.
·Experience working in a fast-paced Salesforce development environment and production deployments in an agile methodology
·Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
·Must demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
Base Pay Range:
$102,750 - $214,375K*
*The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
