Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer License Required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience of progressive responsibility in quality control manager position.
  • Experience on large highway, bridge/structures, paving, and/or utility relocation projects as a contractor.
  • Applicable certifications in Quality and Construction.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, SharePoint, and document control systems.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Construction Quality Management System for the project including the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP)
  • Oversee field Quality Control activities.
  • Perform quality reports, audits and oversee QA and QC documentation and test results
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, the QMP and with Federal, State, Local, ISO 9001 and other regulatory laws and standards.
  • Maintain and report the quality management system records as required by the project QMP and Company corporate requirements.
  • Manage all nonconformities at the project level and lead the root cause analysis and implementation of any corrective and preventive actions.
  • Attend meetings related with Quality issues.
  • Distribute relevant QC documentation to site subcontractors and other teams and stakeholders
  • Verify and oversee that the construction site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
  • Develop and implement Quality Trainings and perform QC Audits to the project and subcontractors.
  • Jointly, with Construction and Procurement departments, review contractual specifications of all materials to be used on the project.
  • Perform evaluations of consultants and subcontractors as specified in the QMP.
