Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience working as a Paralegal law firm or corporate legal department in the technology sector or related industries , with exposure to CFIUS matters being desired
- Familiarity with CFIUS and national security regulations and an eagerness to expand expertise in this area
- In-depth knowledge of CFIUS regulations, procedures, and related legal frameworks
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a meticulous attention to details
- Proficient in conducting legal research and summarizing findings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to assess complex legal issues and provide practical solutions
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- You will possess a high level of integrity and be committed to the highest ethical standards
Responsibilities
- Legal and Business experience :
- Assist in the preparation, organization and management of legal documents related to CFIUS matters
- Conduct research on CFIUS regulations and procedures, and provide analysis to support decision making
- Assist the inhouse CFIUS security team in continuing to develop and implement CFIUS compliance programs and policies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of CFIUS related legal activities and transactions
- Facilitate communication between internal Vonage teams, external partners (including the CMAs) and government agencies on CFIUS matters as directed by the Director, CFIUS Legal Counsel
- Support the inhouse CFIUS security team in continuing to develop and implement CFIUS compliance programs and policies
- Support the collaboration cross-functionally with internal teams, including finance, compliance, and business development, to ensure alignment with CFIUS requirements
- Stay abreast of changes in CFIUS regulations and national security policies and advise on their impact on the company
