Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed with the Maryland State Board of Nurses.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience practicing nursing.
  • Licensure: Maintain Maryland State Board of Nursing licensure and CPR certification for the duration of employment.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of patient assessment, education, treatments, and related factors.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of medical coding and electronic record systems.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to perform appropriate nursing care based on standard nursing practice.

Responsibilities
  • Administer treatment in accordance with Physicians’ instruction or policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Assess and evaluate patient issues and respond appropriately based on health care protocols and standards of nursing practice for normal, abnormal, emergent, and/or life-threatening situations.
  • Maintain appropriate level of nursing skills including but not limited to injections, patient assessment and diagnostic techniques.
  • Utilize knowledge of coding rules to accurately document care in the electronic medical record.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to perform appropriate nursing care based on standard nursing practice and start IV’s.
