Requirements
  • A current driver's license is required.
  • This is an entry-level position; a high school or equivalent diploma is preferred but not required.
  • Safety, emissions, and alignment certification is required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move more than 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces dictated by the vehicle's repair needs.
  • Manual dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
  • Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
  • Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
  • Ability to maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and related services.
  • Perform state-mandated vehicle emissions and safety inspections in accordance with state regulations.
  • Troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively as part of a team.
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local service-operation regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know requirements.
  • Assist with housekeeping functions as directed by management.
  • Communicate the extent of vehicle damage or malfunctions to the service department.
  • Follow and promote standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
