Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
  • a minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in a medically complex fetal or neonatal population required
  • MSN preferred
  • Experience in care coordination, program development and clinical operations including team building and collaborative working skills essential
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
  • Some positions require certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Responsibilities
  • coordinates and supports the development of the Fetal Care Program
  • provides prenatal clinical consultations, education, care coordination, and counseling to women who are pregnant with a fetal anomaly
  • partners with the RNII to care for individual patients between multi-disciplinary teams to establish patient care plans
  • provides care coordination and assist with varied responsibilities, such as quality assurance, customer and patient relations, policy setting, training/education, research and community outreach.
