- BS/BA degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years' work experience in engineering field desired
- Previous outside sales experience with manufactured equipment or welded assemblies is desired
- 3D modeling experience required - Solidworks/Creo preferred
- Excellent Communication skills with strong English both written and presentation
- Project management experience required
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Access
- General understanding of welding and metal working knowledge
- Innovative approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work on a team or as an individual for problem solving
- Must have mechanical/technical aptitude
- Required to analyze data through SQL/Microsoft Access query
- Provide recommendations and path to completion based on regular data analysis
- Provides technical assistance to Marketing, Field Sales, and Customer Service; collaborate with customers, installers and consulting engineers to efficiently resolve field issues including initial installation, field performance monitoring, and post installation equipment failures
- Ability to make valid assumptions and make relative decisions in unique situations
- Consult with production during the manufacturing process to ensure customer needs/expectations are met
- Special projects liaison between customer and engineering teams
- Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
- Carry out special assignments as required by Applications Engineering Manager
