Experience Level
  • BS/BA degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years' work experience in engineering field desired
  • Previous outside sales experience with manufactured equipment or welded assemblies is desired
  • 3D modeling experience required - Solidworks/Creo preferred
  • Excellent Communication skills with strong English both written and presentation
  • Project management experience required
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Access
  • General understanding of welding and metal working knowledge
  • Innovative approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on team or as an individual for problem solving
  • Must have mechanical/technical aptitude
  • Required to analyze data through SQL/Microsoft Access query
  • Provide recommendations and path to completion based on regular data analysis
  • Provides technical assistance to Marketing, Field Sales, and Customer Service; collaborate with customers, installers and consulting engineers to efficiently resolve field issues including initial installation, field performance monitoring, and post installation equipment failures
  • Ability to make valid assumptions and make relative decisions in unique situations
  • Consult with production during the manufacturing process to ensure customer needs/expectations are met
  • Special projects liaison between customer and engineering teams
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
  • Carry out special assignments as required by Applications Engineering Manager
