- A high school diploma or GED, or 10 years of work experience.
- No prior experience is required.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 0–25 pounds and occasionally handle objects weighing 25–50 pounds.
- Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements.
- Ability to use vision and depth perception at near and far distances and distinguish colors.
- Ability to use hearing and speech for oral communication and hear alarms or malfunctioning machinery.
- Ability to perform frequent keyboard use and data entry.
- Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, and grip.
- Perform duties under supervision and within well-established guidelines.
- Greet patients and visitors; answer, screen, and route telephone calls; file and distribute mail; and perform other general clerical duties.
- Provide assistance with programs and software for providers when needed, and assemble and maintain patient charts.
- Make copies, answer phones, make appointments, and maintain records.
- Maintain office inventory, including ordering supplies, and ensure office equipment is in good working order by requesting repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members about patient care according to protocol.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
