Donor Network of Arizona

Donor Network of Arizona

View

Donor Network of Arizona coordinates organ, eye, and tissue donation in Arizona as the state's federally designated organ procurement organization, working with hospitals, families, and partners to facilitate donation and run the DonateLifeAZ registry. When a potential donor is identified, DNA confirms registration, supports the family, and coordinates the recovery in a surgical setting, aided by its in-house immunogenetics lab to match organs and work with UNOS for national transplants. The organization operates 24/7 and provides a two-year aftercare program for donor families. It differs from others by being the official Arizona OPO, the sole eye recovery agency in the state, having an in-house genetics lab, and partnering with academic centers to support research, all as a nonprofit.
