Baptist Health Paducah has earned its ninth consecutive three-year accreditation from the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer, recognizing the hospital's cancer program for meeting national standards for patient care. According to a news release, the Commission on Cancer accreditation is awarded to cancer programs that demonstrate compliance with standards focused on improving patient survival and quality of life. Accredited programs undergo an extensive evaluation every three years to maintain their designation. According to Baptist Health Paducah, the accreditation ensures patients have access to a full range of cancer services, including diagnosis, treatment, supportive care and community resources either on-site or through referrals.
