Captrust, Centier and Land O'Frost named among top Indiana workplaces. Captrust, Centier Bank and Land O'Frost were named among the Best Places to Work in Indiana by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Captrust, a financial management firm with offices in Chesterton and Indianapolis, placed first statewide in the major employer category, reflecting 1,000 or more U.S. employees. It was recognized along with other companies from across the state at an awards dinner at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. "We're proud to celebrate 150 Hoosier employers that consistently put their people first," Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders said. "It's inspiring to highlight the ways each organization is innovating and intentionally fostering workplace cultures that improve employees' lives. Seeing the emphasis on meaningful amenities, open dialogue and well-rounded support is incredibly encouraging - and offers a strong model for what's possible." People are also reading... The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has celebrated the Best Places to Work in the Hoosier State for 21 years. This year, it honored companies from Bloomington, Carmel, Evansville, Fishers, Fort Wayne, Goshen, Indianapolis, Marion, Noblesville, South Bend, Washington and other communities ranging in size from 16 to 2,400 employees. The Workforce Research Group picked the winners based on employer reports and an employee survey. Munster-based Land O'Forst, which makes one of the country's top-selling brands of deli meats, ranked No. 5 in the major companies category. "Being recognized as a Best Place to Work represents a significant milestone that belongs to every member of our team," said David Van Eekeren, president and CEO of Land O'Frost. "Our 'One Team' philosophy goes beyond a corporate initiative; it's how we support one another every day. This award validates our belief that when you invest in people and lead with values like respect and integrity, you create an environment where everyone can thrive." The third-generation family-owned company credited the honor to its family culture, commitment to growth, engagement surveys of employees and employee benefits, including no-cost telehealth and specialized programs for oncology and diabetes navigation. "We've worked hard to create an environment where tradition meets innovation. Whether we're solving complex supply chain challenges or having a little fun, our culture is defined by engagement and creativity. Being named a Best Place to Work proves that a third-generation family business can be at the cutting edge of workplace culture by listening to its employees and acting on their feedback," Van Eekeren said.
