Requirements
  • A technical college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering and more than eight years of maintenance manager experience is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering and more than five years of maintenance manager experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Siemens programmable logic controller systems and programming is required.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems is required.
  • Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance is required.
  • Knowledge of team leadership and supervisory skills is required.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and SAP maintenance functions is required.
  • Knowledge of robots and electrical tools is required.
  • Understanding of module functions in a Just-in-Time manufacturing environment is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for documentation is required.
  • Ability to research and request quotations from suppliers for equipment, tools, fixtures, and purchased components is required.
  • Experience with two-dimensional or three-dimensional computer-aided design programs for reviewing facilities, including AutoCAD, is required.
  • Ability to use protective equipment and clothing, ascend and descend ladders, and lift 40–50 pounds is required.
Responsibilities
  • Plan equipment operations, including preventive-maintenance plans, budgets, organization, investments, key performance indicators, equipment schedules, shutdowns, and repairs.
  • Manage equipment performance, including downtime, mean time to repair, mean time between failures, 3R5S, improvements, and attendance; evaluate staff performance; and report results and improvement plans.
  • Assess team training needs, create and develop training plans, and monitor training results and improvement progress.
  • Communicate with departments, vendors, and contractors regarding maintenance, and control maintenance information for shift-change meetings.
  • Serve as the safety representative by coordinating safety training, assisting with safety audits, facilitating compliance with standards, maintaining safety records, coordinating EHS-related training, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Control efficient maintenance of plant equipment; support and perform implementation of the SAP preventive-maintenance module, equipment materials and spare parts processes, and maintenance-asset management.
  • Control performance against preventive-maintenance plans.
  • Control troubleshooting of equipment failures and review trouble reports with countermeasures or improvement reports.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and counseling to staff; participate in meetings; and coordinate and develop maintenance documents.
  • Support installation and inspection of new equipment with engineering, and plan training for team members.
  • Manage staff overtime hours.
  • Comply with and promote workplace safety, attend safety meetings, and conduct safety meetings when necessary.

  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for documentation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in PLC/PC programming is preferred.
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D computer-aided design using AutoCAD or CATIA is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment are preferred.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to organizational success are preferred.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends is preferred.
