Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Quality, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Hands-on experience using precision manual inspection and measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other standard metrology equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured components using precision manual measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other standard metrology tools.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T to verify product conformance.
  • Accurately document inspection results, nonconformances, and quality records in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Assist with first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections as required.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues, clarify inspection requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate with customers as needed regarding quality documentation, inspection results, and quality-related inquiries.
  • Support investigations of nonconforming products by documenting findings and assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure measuring tools are calibrated and used in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist with Coordinate Measuring Machine operations and develop Coordinate Measuring Machine programming skills over time.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with quality systems, inspection documentation, and basic root cause analysis.
  • Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines, or hands-on experience with precision measurement equipment and a willingness to learn Coordinate Measuring Machine operation and programming.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, satellite, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Strong computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning/Materials Requirements Planning systems, quality management software, and Microsoft Office to maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
