Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety leadership role within construction or MEP.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, and Workers’ Comp regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA 30 certification (OSHA 500 preferred).
  • Must meet critical deadlines and adhere to all company policies.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background checks (e.g., DMV, criminal history).
  • Must be available to work assigned schedules and relocate to Richmond, VA if needed.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and support safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, DOT).
  • Maintain and update safety procedure manuals and ensure alignment with current construction and industry standards.
  • Promote and lead a proactive safety culture across job sites.
  • Educate and train team members on safe work practices.
  • Analyze accident reports and develop corrective measures.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure PPE compliance and overall safety adherence.
  • Participate in OSHA inspections and handle related procedures and documentation.
  • Lead training sessions on safe work procedures.
