Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our product and documentation requirements
• Produce high-quality documentation in accordance with the in-house style guide and provided templates
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation
• Conduct interviews with SMEs to capture operational procedures, troubleshooting recommendations, and complex end-to-end solution descriptions
• Work hands-on with software applications, confirming procedures and taking screenshots as needed
• Revise existing documentation as required and requested
• Edit images using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar tools as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical writing experience for software applications in cloud architectures
• Experience working in a wireless telecommunications or networking environment
• Native-level proficiency in English, both verbal and written
• Experience in creating high-quality documentation with attention to formatting, voice, audience, and detail
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Sound judgment, strong sense of ethics, ability to work under tight deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills and business acumen, as well as the ability to hold high-level conversations with managers and technical staff

Preferred Qualifications

• University degree in technical writing, English, journalism, communications, or computer science
• Strong working knowledge of MadCap Flare
• Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Strong working knowledge of all Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, and Illustrator
• Experience working in the software application and virtual platform sectors
• Experience with Atlassian Confluence wiki pages
• Experience using Microsoft SharePoint as a document management system
• Experience using Microsoft Visio to create diagrams and flowcharts
