Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry with 0-2 years academic or industry experience.
- Knowledge of chemistry principles and methods with the ability to interpret results and an ability to communicate effectively.
- Good problem-solving skills, the ability to think out of the box, and be able to follow the product development processes.
- Experience with fluorine chemistry and lithium chemistry is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and quantitative skills.
- A good team player.
Responsibilities
- Design synthetic route of novel organic and inorganic chemical materials for lithium metal battery independently.
- Perform a variety of wet lab experiments and purification.
- Characterize synthetic compounds via various instruments, such as NMR, GC, and LC-MS.
- Optimize synthesis for scale-up and develop SOPs for novel synthetic materials.
- Mentor junior members of the team.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks.
- Adhere to all safety and Good Laboratory Practice regulations as well as company policies.
- Collaborate and communicate with other teams in research and development.
