Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Chemistry with 0-2 years academic or industry experience.
  • Knowledge of chemistry principles and methods with the ability to interpret results and an ability to communicate effectively.
  • Good problem-solving skills, the ability to think out of the box, and be able to follow the product development processes.
  • Experience with fluorine chemistry and lithium chemistry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and quantitative skills.
  • A good team player.
Responsibilities
  • Design synthetic route of novel organic and inorganic chemical materials for lithium metal battery independently.
  • Perform a variety of wet lab experiments and purification.
  • Characterize synthetic compounds via various instruments, such as NMR, GC, and LC-MS.
  • Optimize synthesis for scale-up and develop SOPs for novel synthetic materials.
  • Mentor junior members of the team.
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety and Good Laboratory Practice regulations as well as company policies.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other teams in research and development.
