Requirements
  • Pass the company’s appropriate security clearances.
  • Have experience in similar capacities, such as lodging, housing, hospitals, or care facilities, preferred rather than required.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be able to stand, lift, bend, stretch, reach, climb, and kneel, including pushing or pulling 60 pounds unassisted and lifting or carrying 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Be able to see, hear, and communicate with associates and guests.
  • Handle linens, terry, and other supplies properly while considering sanitation and cost controls.
  • Follow safety, security, training-checklist, emergency, and company procedures.
  • Perform basic maintenance repairs such as fixing leaking faucets and running toilets.
  • Clean guest rooms to brand standards and according to the room-attendant training checklist.
  • Work alone without direct supervision and communicate professionally with guests and co-workers.
  • Work any day or shift, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Keep the hotel’s public areas, grounds, and parking lot clean while maintaining brand standards and providing guest service.
  • Assist guests with baggage and with getting in and out of vehicles or guest rooms.
  • Respond to guest requests by delivering supplies such as shampoo, towels, and rollaway beds in a timely manner.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance of hotel equipment.
  • Set up meeting rooms when applicable.
  • Maintain general cleanliness guidelines for the property’s public areas.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Assist the housekeeping, laundry, or maintenance departments with duties the associate is capable of performing.
