Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or six years of related experience in testing, engineering, or quality assurance.
  • Test Engineer Level II requires 5–12 years of related experience in testing, engineering, or quality assurance.
  • Lead Test Engineer Level III requires 12 or more years of related experience in testing, engineering, or quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of acquisition processes and policies outlined in DoD 5000.01, DoDI 5000.02, and SECNAVINST 5000.2.
  • Working experience with Department of the Navy tools, iTEST, iTEMP, and traceability tools such as DOORS.
  • Ability to work independently and synchronize tasks with cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to lead tasks involving risk tracking and continuous status or process oversight.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, writing, and analytical skills to interact orally and in writing with audiences at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Secret security clearance is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support the acquisition lifecycle of Marine Corps systems and equipment through systems engineering, development, integration, testing, configuration management, quality control, fielding, and sustainment efforts.
  • Perform analysis for acquisition Test and Evaluation activities, including reviews, evaluations, and risk assessments.
  • Develop Test and Evaluation documents, including test strategies, test concepts, test plans, and test reports for developmental, integrated, and operational testing.
  • Facilitate access to required Department of the Navy tools, iTEST, and iTEMP for the Test and Evaluation workforce.
  • Assist with Test and Evaluation activities, reviews, and programmatic assessments of Test and Evaluation policy at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Department of the Navy, and Marine Corps levels.
  • Research Test and Evaluation policies, guidance, and regulations to develop policy recommendations.
  • Assess material discussed in meetings with external agencies at the Service, Department of the Navy, and Office of the Secretary of Defense levels.
  • Review and assess the adequacy of developmental test approaches, operational test concepts, and test reports.
  • Coordinate Test and Evaluation meetings and develop briefings for working and senior executive levels.
  • Develop training schedules, manage workforce data, and interact with multiple agency representatives for the Test and Evaluation workforce.
