Stanley Black & Decker has embarked on a transformation of its global manufacturing operations and global supply chain, and one of the main workstreams of this program is ‘Manufacturing Excellence’. This workstream is responsible for implementing sustainable operational improvements that will translate into financial benefits for the company. To support this workstream, Stanley Black & Decker are building a world-class Manufacturing Excellence team that will work closely with manufacturing leadership and their teams to deliver these improvements.
The VP of Manufacturing Excellence will be a key member of the Operational Excellence (OpX) team, and will partner with the other OpX teams to deploy operational improvements across the global manufacturing network and supply chain.

You will be responsible for managing the execution of improvement activities to achieve targeted results, managing key stakeholders (from shop floor to C-suite) through regular written and verbal updates, and managing the ongoing development of the Manufacturing Excellence team. More importantly, the Manufacturing Excellence team will leave each site far better prepared to execute great improvement projects on their own (i.e., moving from “feeding them a fish” to “teaching them to fish”).
This role will require strong involvement in the design, development, and deployment of the Stanley Production System to ensure the improvement actions are sustained across the global manufacturing network and supply chain. You will also be pivotal in shaping the agenda for Continuous Improvement and supporting implementation across Stanley Black & Decker.
