Requirements
  • Experience in a customer/client support role
  • Understanding of general wage and hours rules (overtime, meal penalties, W2 processing)
  • Strong data entry skills, including accurately entering, transferring, and/or verifying information with strict attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective, clear communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills with ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Working knowledge of PC systems, including Microsoft Office
  • Quick learning ability - able to learn and retain technical products and systems
  • Ability to work effectively with a team to develop strong working relationships with personnel from all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated, critical thinker, with problem solving skills
  • Able to work overtime as needed
Responsibilities
  • Support tasks associated with the preparation, approval, processing, and completion of time-sensitive payroll
  • Provide superior customer service to clients and maintain strong relationships
  • Communicate with clients promptly regarding payroll questions and escalate issues, requests, and/or questions when appropriate
  • Aide coordinators and other team members with clients and/or payroll entry depending on payroll volume and deadlines
  • Perform quality check on payrolls to ensure they are entered correctly per specific client protocol (this may include deductions, manually calculated handling fees, and tax adjustments) and compliant with Federal and State wage and hour laws and Union contracts
  • Document and maintain assigned payrolls in the appropriate directory, software, or file, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Process adjustments and corrections as needed
  • Coordinate with the Accounting department to ensure funds are received prior to releasing payroll or prior to releasing a foreign wire when applicable
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Hands-on experience processing a timecards
  • Experience with either entertainment union payroll or high volume multi-state payroll
