Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a health science; or an associate's degree with one or more neurodiagnostic registries (R. EEG, R. EP, R. NCS); or completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Electroneurodiagnostic program and one or more neurodiagnostic registries (R. EEG, R. EP, R. NCS).
  • Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in intraoperative monitoring.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification or American Red Cross Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Considerable knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy.
  • Ability to understand and implement detailed instructions when executing complex therapeutic procedures.
  • Ability to make accurate physical observations of patients.
  • Availability to take call and work irregular hours, rotating shifts, and weekends under stressful conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Perform multi-modality complex intraoperative monitoring for advanced intraoperative neuromonitoring procedures, including cortical mapping, phase reversal, dorsal rhizotomies, and deep brain stimulation.
