- No experience or education is required for MHT I
- One year of experience in providing patient care for MHT II
- Two years of experience in providing patient care for MHT III
- Preference may be given to CNA certified applicants
- Provide non-professional direct or indirect care for consumers of behavioral health treatment in an inpatient care setting
- Participate in de-escalation activities and assure that consumers are kept safe
- Act as a role model for consumers, demonstrating effective problem solving and decision making skills
- Assist in providing recreational and therapeutic activities for the consumer
- Verify the location of consumers every 15 minutes
- Monitor responses to medications and record patient information in electronic medical records
- Preference may be given to CNA certified applicants
