Rebellion operates as a European multimedia studio that develops and publishes video games and also produces content across books, comics, TV, and film. Its games, like Sniper Elite, are designed for PC and consoles with a focus on stealth and action, while it leverages the 2000 AD comic archive and owns a large film studio to extend its IP across media. What sets it apart is its combination of game development, publishing, extensive comic IP, and a substantial film production capacity, all rooted in its 1992 origins. Its goal is to grow into a leading cross-media entertainment company by expanding its IP across books, comics, TV, and film while continuing to publish and develop its flagship franchises.

What believers are saying

  • Atomfall launched March 27, 2025, and gained a Complete Edition in October.
  • Rebellion announced Alien Deathstorm on March 26, 2026, expanding new IP production.
  • 2000 AD returned to America weekly in April 2026, strengthening owned IP monetization.

What critics are saying

  • Atomfall depends on hit-driven sales; a weak sequel would damage 2025 growth.
  • Good Shepherd's comic adaptation partnership shifts value outside Rebellion's core game studios.
  • A miss on the 2026 Rogue Trooper movie or Alien Deathstorm hurts employer credibility.

What makes Rebellion unique

  • Rebellion owns 2000 AD, Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper, and Roy of the Rovers.
  • March 2025 Atomfall proved Rebellion can launch original IP beyond Sniper Elite.
  • 2026 Alien Deathstorm and Speedball show a broad, self-owned transmedia pipeline.
