Requirements
  • Requires BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area, and 6 years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal line insurance.
  • Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area, and 4 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance.
  • FCAS (Fellow in Casualty Actuarial Society)

Responsibilities
  • Manage profitability for assigned states through leading end-to-end rate change process from rate indication development, rate plan segmentation analysis, rate filing, subsequent DOI correspondence, and implementation for PPA and Homeowner product.
  • Influence financial plan, rate indication methodology, and strategic pricing initiatives through thorough actuarial analysis and clear communication of results and assumptions.
  • Develops and maintains business relationships with internal and external clients to heighten the brand of the actuarial team and to strengthen strategic partnerships.
  • Reviews the work of supervisors and analysts and oversees the successful completion of projects within the required time frame.
  • Lead and develop a team of actuarial analysts by providing guidance, training, and mentorship; recruit and onboard talent; recognize employee achievements; and foster professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills, including the ability to give formal presentations.
  • In-depth actuarial industry knowledge and knowledge of the insurance marketplace.
