Requirements
- Six to seven years of experience in MicroStrategy.
- Hands-on development and maintenance experience with MicroStrategy 9.3.
- Knowledge or experience with enterprise portal integration, mobile integration, writing back to source data based on business-user analysis, and alerts through email or mobile devices based on predefined events.
- Conceptual knowledge and working experience with metadata creation, report specifications, integration-test planning and testing, unit-test planning and testing, user-acceptance testing, and implementation support.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle, reviews, testing, configuration management, release management, and defect prevention processes.
- Ability to interact directly with clients.
- Ability to interpret data models and use data-modeling tools such as ERwin.
- Knowledge of new MicroStrategy product features and performance tuning.
- Strong data-warehouse concepts and analysis skills.
- Experience working with onsite and offshore teams.
Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements and elicit technical requirements.
- Prepare report specifications.
- Develop reports, cubes, dashboards, and scorecards.
- Design and develop MicroStrategy reports and integrate them with enterprise portals and mobile platforms.
- Write back to source data based on analysis by business users.
- Configure alerts through email and mobile devices based on predefined events.
- Identify and design common functionality.
- Perform unit and integration testing of developed components.
- Promote components across development, test, and production environments.
- Provide user-acceptance testing and implementation support.
- Lead the MicroStrategy development team.
