  • M.S. or Ph.D. (preferred) in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience as a Field Application Scientist with exposure to biological applications
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50-70%, both domestically and internationally
  • Familiarity with cell/tissue culture, cell-based assays, and microscopy platforms; experience in modern molecular and cell biology techniques desired
  • Three or more years of experience supporting customers in a commercial environment or experience training or leading in a laboratory or academic setting
  • Aptitude for understanding, communicating, and training scientific concepts, applications and methods
  • Highly motivated with strong problem-solving ability, strong organizational skills, and excellent verbal and written communications skill
  • Clear vision of and commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Self-motivated, willingness to take initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take action
  • Support users by providing technical and scientific assistance for their workflows
  • Leverage strong structured problem-solving skills to identify and resolve customer needs
  • Provide voice of customer to internal development teams in product design, implementation and development areas, identify training and documentation gaps
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver product training to customers on software, application and/or equipment use, monitor customer installations within assigned territory/region to improve customer satisfaction and maintain customer relationships
  • Improve customer satisfaction and retention through continuing education on optimization and utilization by customer
  • Work with the internal BLI Team to develop troubleshooting, training and workflows demonstrating use, service, qualification, and installation of new products
  • Author, edit, and review technical documentation in conjunction with Technical writers, and contribute to the development and refinement of support processes and tools
  • Communicate with Account Mangers and sales team to ensure all business needs are met
