Mammography Technologist

Pay Range:

$32.58 - $48.87Performs diagnostic procedures requiring the use of equipment that produces ionizing radiation. Helps patients through the mammogram process while using low-dose X-ray imaging equipment to view the breast. Operates mammography unit to produce images of the breasts for diagnostic purposes under direction of a physician. Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff. Required to float to other modalities/areas in the diagnostic services department to meet patient care needs.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates degree required or must have completed an accredited radiology technology program.

Experience Qualifications

• 1 year experience preferred

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

• Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice is required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in general radiology and Mammography certification recommended within 24 months.
• BLS
