At VEED we are hybrid, enabling teams and individuals to design their day and integrate work and life. We require 1 day a week in office for London and Amsterdam-based employees and you have flexibility to decide which day.

About the team

At VEED, we're on a mission to empower millions of users worldwide with intuitive and powerful video creation tools. While our web platform has seen massive success, we’re expanding our footprint in the mobile space with our iOS app, designed to help anyone create professional-looking videos with ease.

Our iOS team has already made significant strides, growing our app to nearly 3 million downloads. Currently, the app enables users to add captions, overlays, and effects to videos, but our vision is far bigger—we’re building a comprehensive mobile video creation experience that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced iOS Engineer to help shape the future of our mobile product. You’ll play a key role in developing cutting-edge video creation tools, working with a team that thrives on innovation and creativity. This is a unique opportunity to work on a product that goes beyond lists and grids—our app involves video processing, graphics, AI-driven features, and advanced rendering technologies.

As an early member of our iOS team, you will have the opportunity to make a massive impact by influencing product decisions, improving development workflows, and scaling the mobile experience for millions of users. What you will do

• Develop and enhance VEED’s iOS app, delivering a world-class video creation experience.
• Work on complex features like video processing, animation, overlays, and AI-powered tools.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and researchers to build intuitive and engaging user experiences.
• Improve performance, stability, and scalability of our iOS app, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of users.
• Shape the future of the iOS team at VEED by contributing to best practices, development processes, and technical decisions.
• Participate in user research and feedback loops to refine features and optimize the video creation flow.

About you

We know that great candidates come in all shapes and sizes, but here are some key qualities we’re looking for:

• Proven experience → You’ve shipped successful iOS applications, worked on products at scale, and have built or contributed to mobile products from the ground up.
• Video expertise → You have experience with video processing, graphics rendering, animations, or related areas like AR, image processing, or media editing tools.
• Strong technical foundation → You have solid experience with Swift, SwiftUI, AVFoundation, and have worked on performance optimization for mobile apps.
• Team player mindset → You thrive in a collaborative environment, working across disciplines with PMs, designers, and engineers to solve complex challenges.
• Early-stage mentality → You enjoy ambiguity and like working in an environment where you can take ownership, move fast, and contribute beyond just code.
• Bonus points if you have:
  • • Experience working on a photo/video editing app or any storytelling-focused product.
    • Expertise with the Metal framework for advanced rendering and performance optimization.
