Requirements
  • A Master of Science, Master of Arts, or Doctor of Philosophy with a concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Epidemiology, Engineering, Computer Science, or Operations Research, plus at least five years of related health care analytics experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience developing and executing evaluation methodologies to measure outcomes and return on investment for health programs and demonstrate their value in the health industry.
  • Experience partnering with clinical and business leaders to translate and apply insights to drive enterprise value.
  • Experience extracting and transforming data across multiple sources for routine reporting of outcome metrics.
  • Advanced expertise with SAS and/or Python or equivalent analytical tools.
  • Comprehensive experience with Snowflake, SQL, or equivalent database tools.
Responsibilities
  • Consult business leaders and internal partners to apply insights to test and drive product innovation and enhancement, targeting the right members for the right service.
  • Measure program outcomes and demonstrate value.
  • Help win and retain clients and support information-based strategic decision-making.
  • Provide analytical insights to support business solution development based on quality, use, cost, and other key drivers.
  • Develop and refine analysis templates for problem diagnosis and opportunity assessment.
  • Consult on considerations related to designing and executing tests or pilot programs.
  • Contribute to the design of new programs or initiatives based on test or pilot outcomes.
  • Develop targeting criteria or customer segmentation based on analytical insights, clinical inputs, product design, and operations considerations.
  • Develop predictive models and other tools to target the right members.
  • Develop methodologies to measure clinical, utilization, and financial outcomes of programs or initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth research to address challenging issues in measuring outcomes.
  • Lead applied research projects.
  • Author white papers, present at industry conferences, and submit journal publications.
  • Address limitations of certain data sources and evaluate the incremental value of new data sources.
