Requirements
  • 3 or more years of estimating or project management experience in the heavy industrial construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent work experience.
  • Be able to work in a team environment and be self-motivated.
  • Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivations skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with owner representatives, engineering firms, subcontractors, other team members and senior management.
  • Proficiency in use of computer software applications including, MS Office, HCSS or similar estimating programs, Agtek or similar earthwork programs, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in Primavera.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize.
  • Time Management, multitasking, and prioritization.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
  • Travel – This position is geographically located in Burnsville, MN, but will most commonly spend 1-3 years in project area. That area could be anywhere in the Midwest/Central Region.
  • Estimating, project control, scheduling, quantity tracking.
  • Support a team consisting of Project Manager, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and other staff.
  • Build relationships and communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, & workforce.
  • Review shop drawing, submittals and schedules, and process RFIs.
  • Monitoring the quality control, safety and environmental programs.
  • Understand and assist with project layout.
  • Identify critical work items, and procure long-lead items.
  • Assist with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders.
  • Manage document control including submittals schedules, contract documents, shop drawings, etc.
  • Assist with delivery, inventory, and warehousing of materials and equipment.
  • Resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce.
  • Maintaining as-built drawings & manuals.
  • Attend and/or lead meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned
