Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support business transformation initiatives, particularly those involving legacy technology and service modernisation.
  • Apply design thinking and User-Centred Design principles across all phases of delivery, from Discovery, Alpha, Beta through to Live.
  • Facilitate and manage organisational change activities, working closely with users to embed new processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders to build strong relationships, elicit critical information and support successful delivery outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation and future work within client engagements.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure transformation initiatives are aligned to business needs and deliver measurable value.
  • Support the shaping of transformation strategies, roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Provide guidance on agile methodologies, ensuring a transformation-led rather than solely technology-led approach to delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases, options papers and strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor and evaluate transformation outcomes, ensuring benefits realisation and continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Change management certification, such as Prosci or equivalent.
  • Agile certification, such as Certified ScrumMaster or Professional Scrum Master.
  • Design thinking or User-Centred Design-related certification.

The company has scaled rapidly in recent years, and this growth has seen headcount increasing fivefold since 2022 and revenue rising by nearly 150% over the past three years. Growth has been supported by the rising demand for digital transformation services and acquisitions including Rayo, and 3B Data Security in 2024. LDC investment backs UBDS existing management team, led by CEO Alex Gore, which has been in place for over four years and has guided the business through a period of scaling and operational maturity. As part of the transaction, Diptesh Patel, Founder of UBDS Group, will move to Non-Executive Director role, while experienced industry veteran Peter Sweetbaum has been appointed Chair. LDC Partners Aylesh Patel and Chris Baker will join the board as Non-Executive Directors, reflecting the business' active role in supporting the next phase of growth. UBDS Group partners with LDC to drive growth. 24 Jun 2026 UBDS Group, a fast-growing enterprise digital lifecycle and cybersecurity consultancy, has secured investment from LDC, the private equity investor that is part of Lloyds Banking Group, as it pursues an ambitious growth strategy. Founded in 2019 by Diptesh Patel, UBDS Group is headquartered in London, with offices in Manchester and Bengaluru. It provides specialist digital lifecycle, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, data and AI services. The business offers comprehensive, end-to-end digital solutions tailored for the public and private sectors and employs approximately 300 people. The business has grown rapidly, with headcount increasing fivefold since 2022 and revenue rising by almost 150% over the past three years. This growth has been supported by the growing strategic importance of digital transformation for organisations and underpinned by two successful acquisitions in 2024 - Rayo, an AWS consultancy, and 3B Data Security, a cyber security services business. LDC is backing UBDS Group's management team, led by CEO Alex Gore, alongside CFO Kevin Wheeler, Group Chief Client Officer Sam Pillai, Group Chief Solution Architect Paul Collins, Group Chief Technology Officer Matt Johnson and Group Chief People Officer Emma Durkin.
