Compensation Overview

*Note: This position requires presence in one of our San Francisco Bay Area office locations (Currently San Jose, expanding to Peninsula/SF) 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.

We seek a talented Brand Designer to lead and execute design projects that define and elevate our visual identity and brand. This role is crucial in shaping how Lambda is perceived across all touchpoints. As part of the design team, you’ll create exceptional brand experiences for our customers and users.

What You’ll Do

• Be a key contributor to the creation and evolution of our brand identity- creating beautiful and intuitive designs for marketing, product, and internal initiatives
• Work with marketing, product, and engineering teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and high-quality design outputs
• Manage multiple design projects to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate with external vendors and agencies as needed
• Stay updated on industry trends and design techniques
• Experiment with new design tools to enhance the brand’s visual appeal

• Enjoy building brands and design systems from the ground up
• Have developed and launched a brand refresh or full rebrand

• Use data and quantitative feedback to inform your designs
• Always communicate the rationale behind design decisions and approach qualitative analysis with a reasonable, level-headed approach

• Are comfortable working closely with different styles of stakeholders both technical and non-technical (Product/Engineering and Marketing)
• Love ideation, iteration, and attention to detail (pixel perfection)

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in brand design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to solve complex design problems
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools
• Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Notion, Asana, Monday, or other related products)
• Have a strong understanding of typography, color theory, and visual. composition
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and feedback clearly
• Are experienced with website design, UI/UX, Presentation design, Print design, Event design
• Possess a strong working knowledge of user-centric and human-based design principles
• Love ideation, iteration, and attention to detail (pixel perfection)
• A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred but not required

Nice to Have

• AI design techniques- Stable diffusion, prompt engineering, and AI automation in design workflow
• Illustration skills
• Motion: compositing, rendering, prototyping
• UX skills, personas, journey maps, research, and testing techniques
• Photography, video, editing
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in the machine learning or computer hardware industry

Salary Range Information 

Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $138,000 - $240,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
