Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of multi-site retail area management experience in a similar-volume retail environment.
  • Experience in high-volume specialty or fast-moving consumer goods retail, with a strong retail management history.
  • Proven ability to achieve budgeted sales, margin, and earnings before interest and tax targets and present results to senior leadership.
  • Ability to create succession plans and build teams focused on achieving goals.

  • Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels of the business, including support-office and store levels.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the area group, ensuring consistent service excellence and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead, coach, and develop store management teams to maximize individual and store performance.
  • Monitor sales, inventory, operational metrics, and customer satisfaction to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the central Petbarn team to plan and execute regional business initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, customer-centric culture across the area of responsibility.
  • Lead and motivate store managers and their teams across the Melbourne region.
