Requirements
  • Proven experience in sales, sales operations, business analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong data analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large amounts of data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications at an advanced level, primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to complete projects from beginning to end.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to put distressed customers at ease and resolve issues for the mutual benefit of the company and customers.
  • A proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
  • A minimum of five years of recent management, supervisory, or leadership experience in a high-volume, SKU-driven operational environment.
  • A minimum of seven years of related experience and/or training in customer service and/or call-center-related work.
Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver sales training programs tailored to the sales team's needs, including onboarding, product training, and ongoing skills development.
  • Lead and direct the sales support team and customer service department, including their development, performance, and overall effectiveness.
  • Lead and support the Customer Service Manager with vision, trust, and knowledge.
  • Assess current customer pricing structures to determine profitability by customer, including independent and chain customers.
  • Maintain customer pricing structures and discounts while identifying margin discrepancies.
  • Create and communicate reporting and metrics to the team, including sales reports, customer business review documents, customer compliance and pricing analysis, customer reporting, and initiative analysis.
  • Update growth, commissions, and spiffs for payroll.
  • Support and enhance the new-hire sales onboarding process.
  • Identify needs and tools to equip the sales and leadership teams with key business-metric reporting.
  • Establish, train, and promote a customer service culture throughout the department in alignment with company values.
  • Lead the Customer Service team to achieve company goals and department objectives.
  • Develop a premier staff of customer service representatives through meetings, training, and continued coaching.
  • Maintain clear customer service and sales team training documents and ensure the team is trained accordingly.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, purchasing, category management, marketing, and operations.
  • Travel to different warehouses and regions for key training and education.
  • Spend occasional overnights in the field, approximately two days per month.

  • A bachelor's degree in business or communications.
