What’s exciting about the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Continuity Consultant to join our team based in the Americas, with responsibilities spanning our global operations. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining a Business Continuity program and identifying business continuity strategies and solutions to ensure the resilience and continuous operation of our global business units. As a Business Continuity Consultant, you will collaborate with departments worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery programs across multiple business units worldwide
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities that could impact business operations
- Lead business impact analyses to determine critical business functions and prioritize recovery strategies
- Coordinate with global and regional teams to ensure the business continuity plans align with local regulations and business needs
- Facilitate training and drills for emergency response teams and business continuity coordinators across different regions
- Regularly review and ensure business continuity plans reflect the changing risk landscape and business processes
- Provide expert guidance and support during actual emergencies and business disruptions
- Provide guidance and leadership in development in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery software and tools
- Prepare metrics, reports and presentations for senior management detailing readiness and response strategies
- Work collaboratively with IT departments to ensure alignment of IT disaster recovery plans with business continuity plans
Skills and Experience we desire
- 5-10 years of professional experience in business continuity planning, risk management, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Professional certification in Business Continuity Management (e.g., CBCP, MBCI) is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of global business operations and the ability to manage projects with cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Proficient in business continuity planning software and tools
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead during crises
- Willingness to travel as needed to support global operations and conduct site-specific assessments
