Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current registered nurse licensure in North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
- Advanced certifications as required by the facility.
- Successful completion of a Board-approved refresher course before reactivating or reinstating an RN license that has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more without licensure in another state during the last five years.
- Application for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course when the refresher-course requirement applies.
Responsibilities
- Establish an authentic, personalized relationship with the patient and the patient's chosen support system.
- Collaborate with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
- Promote optimal health or support a peaceful death through individualized patient care.
- Use the best scientific evidence and compassion to help patients navigate their health journey.
- Accept responsibility, authority, and accountability for managing and providing care in accordance with current policies and procedures.
