Responsibilities
  • Answers and screens a variety of telephone calls, using discretion and tact to handle accordingly.
  • Acts as a liaison between the periop departments including informed delays, on time starts, etc.
  • Assists with completing payroll
  • Reviews, make changes as necessary, and submits daily billing/charging for patient profiles.
  • This includes reviewing/correcting case record data, anesthesia times and recovery times.
  • Reviews intraoperative billing to assure all products used have been appropriately charged.
  • Transmits charges within 24 hours of the case finish.
  • Participate in introduction of new products into the OR in relation to billing.
  • Provides administrative support to the Nurse Managers of Surgical Services, OR Business Manager and OR Clinical Coordinator.
  • Orders, distributes and maintains appropriate office supply stock levels for all Surgical Service Departments.
  • Maintains and updates active files for management.
  • Enforces vendor compliance with Reptrax.
