Requirements
  • Certification and ability to operate track hoes, rubber-tire backhoes, front-end loaders, road graders or maintainers, bulldozers, hoe rams, and Ross carriers when required.
  • Ability to learn and follow safety requirements and safely operate work-related tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in plant operations or construction jobsite settings.
  • Ability to move through active construction and project sites with uneven terrain and varying surface conditions.
  • Ability to access ground-level, overhead, and restricted-access work areas and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work surfaces safely.
  • Ability to handle hand tools, power tools, equipment, instruments, and job-related materials.
  • Ability to move, position, push, pull, lift, or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information with crew members, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and others.
  • Ability to understand written, electronic, verbal, visual, and environmental information for safe and effective job performance.
  • Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, humidity, wind, noise, dust, and other site-related conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret load charts.
  • Interpret hand signals to determine where materials should be placed.
  • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities for tools and equipment.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, including checking fluids, refueling, adding fluids, and assessing component wear.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
  • Prepare, fine-tune, and level surfaces to specifications.
  • Assist other craft workers as needed.
