Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Meet all state requirements for a pharmacy technician, including registration, licensure, or certification if required by the state.
  • Have at least one year of related experience.
  • Hold current national Certified Pharmacy Technician certification if required by the state.
  • Remain aware of the supervisory pharmacist’s role and responsibility for medication integrity during preparation, storage, and shipping.
  • Have knowledge of the geography served by the pharmacy, traffic patterns, and drive times.
  • Understand all service options and delivery-time commitments.

  • Read, analyze, and interpret operational logistics functions appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities.

  • Lift a 50-pound box from the floor.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect and audit compounding material before it enters the cleanroom.
  • Compound sterile preparations as needed.
  • Check final products for particulate matter and container integrity before presenting them to the pharmacist for final review, and label compounded sterile preparations when state regulations permit.
  • Check ancillary supplies and pick and pack supplies and medications.
  • Receive and stock incoming orders.
  • Assemble and package materials for delivery.
  • Facilitate efficient workflow processes and inventory stocking.
  • Assist leadership with overseeing the inventory count process through final reporting.
  • Perform inventory control on products, rotate stock as necessary, and notify appropriate personnel of stock shortages promptly.
  • Maintain the warehouse safely and use delivery and warehouse best practices.
  • Work with the pump management company to maintain pumps.
  • Develop a positive working rapport with the courier service and understand its response times, delivery protocols, after-hours service, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop efficient territory management and delivery zones.
  • Coordinate with customer service and Pharmacy to facilitate timely processing of delivery tickets and compounding documents.
  • Ensure the most cost-effective delivery method is used.
  • Track and trend delivery-ticket lead times and cost per delivery.
  • Assemble and prepare patient deliveries.
  • Coordinate with Pharmacy Technicians to prioritize the mix schedule, create efficient deliveries, and meet time commitments.
  • Accurately compile ordered medication, supplies, equipment, and associated documentation for delivery, and obtain a supervisory cross-check of the compiled order.
  • Adhere to company performance programs, policies, procedures, guidelines, and internal control standards.
  • Understand and follow internal control procedures associated with the assigned job function.
  • Report concerns regarding deficiencies in internal control.
  • Assist in orienting new warehouse team members.
  • Provide some training and mentorship to Warehouse Pharmacy Technician I roles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Current national Certified Pharmacy Technician certification.
  • Prior sterile compounding experience.

Option Care Health Q2 beats expectations with $1.4B revenue, narrows full-year guidance

Option Care Health reported second-quarter 2026 results that exceeded expectations. Revenue rose 7% sequentially to $1.4 billion, whilst adjusted EBITDA increased 12% to $117.5 million and adjusted EPS reached $0.45. Operating cash flow totalled $184 million. Acute therapies posted high-single-digit organic growth, while chronic revenue improved sequentially as the CID portfolio began to stabilise. However, CID-related pressure is expected to reduce 2026 revenue by roughly 600 basis points and gross profit by $55 million. The home and alternate-site infusion provider maintained its full-year revenue guidance at $5.675 billion to $5.775 billion. Adjusted EBITDA guidance was narrowed to $480 million to $495 million, and adjusted EPS guidance to $1.85 to $1.92. The company repurchased $150 million of shares, nearly 5% of shares outstanding.

Option Care Health posts weakest Q1 among home health stocks, shares drop 27%

Option Care Health, the largest independent provider of home infusion services in the US, reported Q1 revenues of $1.35 billion, up 1.3% year on year but missing analyst expectations by 3.3%. The company operates 177 locations across 43 states with over 4,500 clinicians. Chief executive John Rademacher acknowledged the "mixed performance" and expressed dissatisfaction with revenue growth momentum. Full-year guidance also fell short of analyst expectations. Across the senior health, home health and hospice sector, seven tracked companies reported a satisfactory Q1, with revenues beating consensus estimates by 0.9% on average. However, Option Care Health posted the weakest performance against analyst estimates despite raising full-year guidance. The stock has fallen 27.1% since reporting, currently trading at $21.59.
