Technical Stack

We are open to considering candidates with backgrounds across any technical stack, so please do not allow lack of experience with our technical stack to hold you back from applying! Rula’s systems are written in Typescript/Node.js or Ruby on Rails, with React frontends. We use Postgres for our databases and everything is hosted on AWS. We also make heavy use of existing tools like Salesforce, Airtable, Typeform, etc. This has enabled us to scale very quickly with a small team but we’re now ready to bring much of this work in-house. We’re standing up the technical foundation that will power the future of the company.

About the Role

Join us as an Engineering Manager to inspire the Scheduling team, connecting Patients with Providers to ensure timely care by simplifying appointment management. With a focus on diversity and innovation, you’ll build and empower a skilled team while collaborating with engineering and product stakeholders across application and infrastructure teams. Take the helm in enabling thousands to receive timely care and drive impactful change!

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or relevant work experience.

• 9+ years of professional engineering experience.  At least 6 years of full time IC work and at least 3 years of hands-on people management experience.

• Experience that involves performance management, mentoring, and career growth thereby demonstrating strong leadership skills.

• Demonstrable project management experience including breaking down projects and delivering on fixed target dates.

• Experience working cross-functionally with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
