Requirements
  • A background in Engineering (power, renewable energy, civil, geomatic, environmental, industrial) or Energy Planning.
  • Expressions of interest are welcome from domestic and onshore international applicants.
  • You will have completed, or expect to complete, a bachelor's degree with honours equivalent to second class honours or a Masters degree (AQF Level 9) incorporating a significant research component of a standard comparable to a bachelor honours degree or be regarded by Griffith University as having an equivalent level of attainment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a GIS-based multi-criteria decision-making model for Offshore Hybrid (wind, wave and solar) Renewable Energy Systems.
  • Develop a spatial decision-support tool to autonomously identify optimal offshore renewable energy sites.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and the Blue Economy Cooperative Research Centre on the project.
  • Engage in desk-based research and contribute to the Offshore Renewable Energy Systems research programme at Griffith University.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of GIS and/or spatial analytics will be preferred.
