Position Description:
We are looking for an Entry Level Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Dallas/Fort Worth office. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, and 0 to 6 years of experience in designing natural gas projects. Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and CADWorks preferred. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 30 days of employment.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Design various natural gas transmission and distribution projects, including pipeline, meter stations, and other facilities
- Prepare design reports and construction plans using client, local, state or other applicable standards.
- Coordinate preparation of specifications and permit submittals
- Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
- Document design changes and communications
- Conduct on-site observations as needed
- Prepare project status and other reports
- Assist in the preparation of proposals
- Assist Project Managers as needed
- Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
- Attend seminars and/or training classes
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering required
Skills/Experience:
- Zero to six years of experience designing natural gas projects
- Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and CADWorks is preferred
