Requirements
  • 7–10+ years of experience in corporate events, including hands-on direct experience configuring and administering RainFocus.
  • Experience leading a digital tools workstream for a flagship-scale conference with 35,000–50,000+ in-person attendees and 100,000+ virtual attendees, with measurable impact and outcomes.
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated implementation experience with event mobile applications.
  • Experience building and managing integrations between event technology platforms and the broader marketing technology stack.
  • Ability to manage fast-moving, frequently changing requirements across multiple, sometimes competing, stakeholder groups.
  • Experience distilling requirements and deliverables and distributing them across support contractors, agencies, and internal stakeholder groups.
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent working experience.
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence agent concepts and experience incorporating artificial intelligence into workflows, using artificial intelligence tools productively and safely.
  • Ability to use event technology platforms such as RainFocus, Stova, Swoogo, Eventbase, and Amego, and integrate them with enterprise platforms such as Databricks, Marketo, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and build relationships.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with comfort operating in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and provide onsite event support.
Responsibilities
  • Own execution of the digital tools workstream for the flagship customer conference by translating strategy into a detailed build and execution plan.
  • Bring technology to the forefront of the attendee experience and provide digital tools that enable users to accomplish their work or attendance goals.
  • Serve as the program RainFocus subject matter expert by owning configuration, workflow builds, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across the registration and event management platform.
  • Lead implementation of the event mobile application from requirements through configuration, testing, and onsite support.
  • Own and support integrations between RainFocus, the mobile application, and adjacent technology systems, including Databricks, Salesforce, and Marketo, to ensure reliable data flow.
  • Manage changing requirements across marketing, field, sponsorship, and vendor stakeholders and translate priorities into actionable specifications.
  • Distribute requirements and deliverables across support contractors, agencies, and stakeholder groups, managing those relationships day to day to keep builds on schedule.
  • Define, track, and report measurable impact and outcomes for the digital tools workstream.
  • Partner with marketing operations, sales operations, and analytics to support registration and engagement data flow and reporting needs.
  • Document builds, configurations, and processes for reuse across future events and understanding by the broader team.
  • Provide secondary support to other large-scale field and corporate programs.
  • Explore and apply artificial intelligence-driven tools and agent-based workflows in event technology operations while using artificial intelligence safely and responsibly.
  • Travel onsite to support the flagship event and other large-scale programs.

Databricks hires ex-AWS executive to lead Asia partners amid 85% growth

Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Briscoe to lead its Asia Pacific & Japan partner organisation. She previously headed AWS's partner operations in the region and held similar roles at Microsoft and Cisco. The move supports Databricks' regional expansion. In April, the company named Simon Davies as regional leader and reported over 85% year-on-year growth in its fourth quarter. It now has more than 1,500 employees across Asia Pacific & Japan and plans to establish headquarters in Singapore. Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
