- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) are required.
- AAC-related coursework or experience is required.
- A California State Speech-Language Pathology License is required.
- Proven experience in AAC assessment is required.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' communication needs and abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized augmentative and alternative communication plans tailored to each patient's requirements.
- Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support students in school settings.
- Provide training and support to families and caregivers on augmentative and alternative communication device usage.
- Stay updated on advancements in speech therapy and augmentative and alternative communication technologies to enhance patient care.
- Prior school-based speech-language pathology experience is a plus.
