Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in aircraft completions, maintenance, and/or components manufacturing
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and challenges related to the management of the production process
  • Ability to research, analyze, and recommend efficient production processes through production engineering concepts
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate technical information contained in aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
  • Proven abilities in analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Project, Access, and SharePoint
  • Must be able to function throughout the total facility, including up and down stairs and in and out of aircraft with or without reasonable accommodation
Responsibilities
  • Assessing the risk induced by new tasks or reworks on the aircraft/components’ progress and defining action plans to negate those risks
  • Coordinating and managing daily technical action plans and following up with the assembly team managers
  • Conducting daily monitoring of critical issues and making improvements when needed
  • Reporting to the assembly team Manager about critical issues with input regarding recommendations and actions to resolve them
  • Coordinating with other departments as required ensuring materials, parts, documentation, engineering data, and other items are delivered to the aircraft or shop on time
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and define a corrective action plan to improve the process or product
  • Managing aircraft/components transfers, projects, and new processes under the supervision of the Business Unit management
  • Utilizing support teams to maintain the aircraft/components production process and to improve the schedule
  • May be selected as the assembly team’s subject matter expert (SME) for special projects
