Requirements
  • A high school diploma, GED, and/or technical school graduate or certification is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • No working experience is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources and training is required to independently perform a variety of usually basic repairs and maintenance on automobile and truck vehicles.
  • The technician must consistently demonstrate proper use of equipment and tools used in repairs and maintenance and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • The technician must consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores.
  • The technician must be able to stand, walk, reach, grab, lift, and carry automotive parts and equipment weighing up to approximately 80 pounds.
  • The technician must be able to work in heat where facilities do not have air conditioning and remain on their feet in a concrete facility for the entire work shift.
Responsibilities
  • Perform basic automotive repairs, adjustments, and maintenance procedures outlined on repair orders for which the technician is trained.
  • Learn and perform oil changes, tire replacement and repairs, and general maintenance repairs.
  • Drive vehicles into the service bay, prepare them for service, and complete digital vehicle inspections.
  • Test-drive vehicles and prepare them for delivery to customers after necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and work areas and perform other necessary duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • G1-Auto Maintenance & Light Repair is preferred.
  • A state inspection certificate is preferred where applicable.
  • AC 609 Certification is preferred.
  • Candidates should have their own tools appropriate for their skill level for use in the center.
